I’ve been banging on for ages about the massive rise in the use of Facebook by older people. I’ve been posing as an advertisier and tracking the audience reach Facebook claims to provide to over 65s for over three years and the growth is staggering: as of July 2010 there were 678,500 people over 65 on the site in the UK – up from 407,500 in 2009 and 83,000 in 2008, a rise over this period of 717%.
But perhaps my way of telling people about this is boring. Never fear, here’s a nice little video jammed packed with stats that make it clear that Facebook is not just a country for young turks.
