Said my landlord, a farmer in County Meath, the other day:
"I love this recession…
1. The sun is shining
2. People say 'please' and 'thank you'
3. You call someone and leave a message and they actually ring you back".
And so, as the saying goes, make hay while the sun shines. (An expression you can never really understand until you experience the controlled and orderly rush which is hay making).
