Work
This is a [work in progress] review of some of the work I have done over the last decade or more – a portfolio with words and downloads.
Intel (2005-2011)
My work at Intel, in their Digital Health Group, focused on ageing, independent living and healthcare.
At the outset in 2006, our focus was on creating a broad, baseline understanding of ageing. The intention was to use that initial piece of research as a foundation on which to base other studies. It was also intended to help with market development activities, and specific strategic needs such as market segmentation. The result was the Global Ageing Experience project. This was an ambitious ethnographic which led us to 100 plus homes in eight European markets, and in South Korea. This work combined policy, market and demographic analysis with a systematic ethnographic exploration of ageing. The principal externally facing document about this research was a booklet.
